The Moskvich automobile plant announced the first sales results of the new model.

The Moskvich automobile plant has sold 24 such crossovers in a month since the start of sales of the new Moskvich 8 model. This was reported to Izvestia on August 21 by the company's press service.

"Sales of Moskvich 8 are proceeding according to the established plan. At the moment, 24 units of this model have been sold," the company said, refuting information disseminated in the media that sales of new items were several times lower.

Sales of the Moskvich 8 crossover began in Russia on July 22. The basic version of the model was estimated at 2.98 million rubles. At the average performance level, the crossover costs from 3.21 million rubles, and at the maximum — from 3.37 million rubles. This is the fourth model of the revived brand after crossovers with indexes 3 and 3e, as well as liftback 6.

The day before, it was reported that the Moskvich automobile plant may release a new crossover based on the British-Chinese MG brand model. With a body length of 4,655 mm and a wheelbase of 2,765 mm, the MG HS in the model range of the Russian brand can be located between the Moskvich 3 and the new Moskvich 8.
