In the Chita River in Transbaikalia, the water level rose by 8 cm due to rains. This was shown by the hydraulic posts installed in the villages of Burgen and Shishkino. Measurements are carried out in the morning and evening hours, the ChitaMedia news agency notes with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources.

The Regional Hydrometeorological Center warned that on Friday, August 22, rains are also expected in the region, in some places they will be heavy. Particularly heavy precipitation with showers and thunderstorms is forecast in the east of the region.

On Saturday, August 23, it will also rain, thunderstorms are possible. On Sunday, August 24, there will be mostly no precipitation at night, and thunderstorms are possible during the day.

Earlier, on August 19, the Meteonosti news agency reported that it was not worth counting on the continuation of summer in Moscow in September. At the same time, forecasters did not rule out that a short warm weather is possible in early autumn.

Before that, on August 18, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that serious precipitation would come only on Thursday, August 21, when, along with the cold front, the temperature would drop from +19...+21 to +17 degrees.
