In vegetables grown in the Khabarovsk Territory, excess of the maximum permissible concentration of nitrates was detected. This was revealed during the state supervision in the field of safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals. It was conducted by the Primorsky Interregional Rosselkhoznadzor Administration in Primorye and Khabarovsk Territory, as well as in the Magadan Region.

Experts conducted 97 samples of vegetables and green crops to determine the residual content of pesticides and nitrates.

According to IA AmurMedia, in the Khabarovsk Territory, out of 70 samples, an excess of nitrates was detected in four. The one in the Lazo district where one of the individual entrepreneurs sold cabbage with a nitrate content 2.3 times higher than the norm. Arugula with a nitrate content 1.4 times higher than normal was detected in the Khabarovsk region.

Information about violations was transferred to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

Earlier it was reported that a criminal case was initiated into the fact that the Nova company damaged agricultural soil in the Taimyr region. During the construction of the oil pipeline, which was carried out from 2023 to 2024, the corporation's employees removed a layer of fertile soil on the agricultural site, but did not take care of the disposal of municipal solid waste, burying them on the spot.
