Transport accessibility will improve in the Pechatniki and Yuzhnoportovy districts of the capital, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin promised. For this purpose, it is planned to build and reconstruct 6 km of roads and extend the tram line.
In particular, sections of Ugreshskaya and Yuzhnoportovaya streets, Ugreshsky driveways 2 and 3 will be updated, the mayor said in the MACH messenger. An above-ground pedestrian crossing over the railway tracks will be built next to the Highway Passage.
The existing tram line will be extended on Ugreshskaya Street. There will also be a transfer to the Ugreshskaya MCC station, Sobyanin stressed. All work is scheduled to be completed in 2028, the mayor of Moscow wrote.
Earlier, Sobyanin spoke about plans to reorganize the program for the integrated development of territories of seven former industrial zones in the south-east of Moscow, including on the territory of Pechatnikov and Yuzhnoportovoye. Modern urban spaces will be built in the Southern Administrative District as part of 13 projects.
