Locomotive derailed in Transbaikalia
A locomotive derailed at the Taksimo depot in the Trans-Baikal Territory. This was announced on August 21 by the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"Today, at about 07:40 (01:40 Moscow time), five wheel sets of a locomotive derailed on the territory of the Taksimo operational locomotive depot," the department said in a Telegram channel message.
It is noted that there were no casualties as a result of the incident. The damage to the infrastructure and the train itself is currently being assessed, and all the circumstances of the incident are being established.
Earlier, on August 13, a single locomotive derailed in the Omsk region. The incident occurred in the Leninsky administrative district of Omsk on the tracks adjacent to the Omsk-Passazhirsky station during shunting operations. There were no delays in traffic. At the moment, restoration work is underway, the causes of the incident are being established.
