The State Duma talked about the possibility for some pensioners to receive two payments

Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy, said that some categories of pensioners may receive two payments at the same time. Participants of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and Sevastopol, liquidators of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, as well as disabled children who lost a parent during a special military operation can take advantage of this opportunity.

"They can receive an old—age insurance pension along with a state disability pension," RIA Novosti quoted Nilov as saying.

The deputy noted that separate rules apply to military personnel, law enforcement officers, astronauts and test pilots. According to Nilov, after retirement, they have the right to receive an old-age insurance pension in parallel, but without a fixed payment.

The official recalled that each type of pension is assigned by different structures, and there are different rules for receiving each payment. Therefore, Nilov recommended providing a complete package of documents.

Earlier, on August 20, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab said that in September, Russians who will turn 80 in August will begin to receive increased pensions. In 2025, the fixed part of the insurance pension is set at 8,907 rubles and 70 kopecks. Additionally, citizens over the age of 80 are entitled to a monthly care allowance of 1,314 rubles.
