The head of Rosatom thanked the Russian nuclear scientists for their selfless work

Alexey Likhachev, CEO of the state corporation Rosatom, expressed gratitude to the Russian nuclear scientists for their hard work. On August 20, he made such an appeal at the "Era of Dreamers" event in honor of the 80th anniversary of the organization.

"Thank you so much for your selfless, courageous work! <...> You are the heroes of our time. Your work is the foundation for the future well—being of our country. And today, more than ever, this great connection of times is felt," he said.

He also noted the importance of the work of previous generations of nuclear scientists for their efforts to restore the country's potential after World War II.

"The main feeling I have today is a sense of gratitude. Thanks to those who solved problems in a war—torn country 80 years ago," Likhachev added.

Earlier that day, Likhachev sang and played the guitar before the start of the large-scale event "Era of Dreamers". The head of Rosatom performed on stage together with the Uma2rman group. The celebration took place at the Nizhny Novgorod football stadium, where about 30 thousand people gathered.
