The psychologist shared tips on preparing a child for kindergarten
Often, the first trips to kindergarten for children are accompanied by severe stress, since the children are not with their parents. On how to help a child prepare for this stage of his life, August 20, Gazeta.Ru" was told by child psychologist Natalia Naumova.
"Before going there, it is important to go through a checklist – to check whether the child can take care of himself, how the child builds communication with peers and adults outside the family, and how well the child manages to live according to the daily routine of kindergarten," the psychologist noted.
According to Naumova, it is important to emotionally set up a child to attend kindergarten. To begin with, you can just play with him in this, as well as walk near the institution so that the child can observe other children. Of course, books and cartoons where the characters go to kindergarten can help with the preparation.
However, it is impossible to send a child to kindergarten by force, the expert emphasized. This can destroy a child's trust in their parents.
"When the child tells you what exactly is bothering him in kindergarten, <...> it turns out that the child can handle it quite well. It is important for a child to be able to ask for the help of an adult, a caregiver...> Every time there is something unique, you need to figure it out. To do this, you need to be in contact with the child, talk," the specialist explained.
Earlier, on July 26, Ekaterina Markelova, co-owner of the Discovery network of bilingual kindergartens and schools, spoke about ways to detect lies in a child. According to the expert, it is important to let the child understand that he can tell the truth without fear.
