According to The Intercept, the Republican governors of West Virginia, South Carolina, Ohio, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee have sent almost more than a thousand National Guard troops to help Trump.
"In total, about 2,100 military personnel will be deployed in the near future," the portal stressed.
Earlier, on August 12, it was reported that the US National Guard troops had arrived in Washington to fight crime. It was clarified that all forces placed on high alert are ready for possible clashes.
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced on August 17 that his state would send 200 US National Guard troops to Washington to support Trump's plan to reduce crime in the capital. At the same time, it was reported that 150 military police personnel from the National Guard from Ohio would also be sent to Washington.
