More than 90% of Moscow's apartment buildings have already been prepared for the new heating season. This was announced on Wednesday, August 20, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.
He noted that large-scale work is currently underway: hydraulic tests are being carried out on the heating networks, during which hot water is temporarily turned off. According to him, the supply of hot water has already been resumed in almost 71 thousand buildings, including over 33 thousand residential buildings.
Biryukov explained that such tests make it possible to identify weak sections of pipelines and promptly repair them so that the heat supply is uninterrupted during the heating season, the Moscow City News agency reports.
He added that temperature tests are also carried out when the coolant in the main networks is heated to the maximum to check reliability. In total, it is planned to prepare more than 74 thousand buildings by winter, including over 34 thousand apartment buildings, Moscow 24 writes.
Earlier on August 20th 360.ru He noted that the water supply networks of the Moscow region will be prepared for winter before September 15. Specialists pay special attention to the replacement of shut-off valves, the installation of frequency converters, and the flushing of tanks and networks.
