A high fire hazard class was predicted in Yakutia

A high fire hazard class has been established in several districts of Yakutia. The gorenje area in the forests exceeded 1.1 thousand hectares.

According to IA YakutiaMedia, as of August 20, there are seven forest fires in the republic. Fires were recorded in Lena, Vilyuysky, Kobyaysky, Mirninsky and Olekminsky districts. More than 480 people and four pieces of equipment are involved in the elimination of the gorenje.

Over the past day, two forest fires were eliminated in Yakutia in the Suntarsky and Olekminsky districts. On the same date in 2024, there were 68 forest fires with a total area of more than 357 thousand hectares.

In total, 513 forest fires have been eliminated in Yakutia since the beginning of the season.
