Property of ex-Deputy Defense Minister Ivanov wants to turn into state income
The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has petitioned the court to transfer the property of the former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov to the state revenue. This became known on August 20 from the data on the official portal of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow.
The petition was filed by Anatoly V. Razinkin, First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. It will be considered by the Presnensky Court of Moscow.
The date of the meeting has not yet been set.
Earlier, on July 1, the Moscow City Court found Timur Ivanov guilty in the case of embezzlement of funds from the bank "Intercommerce" and sentenced him to 13 years in a penal colony. In addition, the former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation was sentenced to a fine of 100 million rubles, deprived of the state award and the title of Honored Builder of the Russian Federation.
The former deputy minister was detained on April 23, 2024. Ivanov is charged with accepting a bribe in the amount of 1,185 billion rubles. According to investigators, he entered into a criminal conspiracy with the heads of contractors working at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense, and concluded contracts with them in exchange for personal remuneration.
