The MAX Security Center helped capture a suspected embezzler in Kursk

The MAX Messenger Security Center assisted the Russian Interior Ministry in apprehending a person involved who is suspected of embezzling funds from a resident of Kursk. This was announced on August 20 by the VK press service.

"The detention of a resident of the Rostov region, who is suspected of the first case of remote theft using the MAX messenger, became possible, among other things, thanks to the information that the MAX Security Center promptly transmitted at the request of the Interior Ministry," the message says.

It is specified that the person involved played the role of an intermediary when transferring money to fraudsters abroad. Currently, the funds are locked in the account, they did not fall into the hands of intruders. Therefore, the Russian woman will be able to return them.

The security center's specialists use automated technical systems and block suspicious accounts that pose as specialists from various structures. So, in July 2025, more than 10 thousand phone numbers of fraudsters were blocked.

Machine learning technologies have been introduced in the new product to improve call quality.
