The Netherlands will transfer two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Poland, as well as send 300 soldiers to the country to ensure the security of the logistics center of the NATO security assistance and training program for Ukraine from December 1 to June 1, 2026. This was announced on August 20 by the Dutch Ministry of Defense on its website.

"The Ministry of Defense provides advanced capabilities. There are few of them, but the Netherlands can offer them. This deployment contributes to the achievement of three main objectives: protecting NATO territory, deterring Russian aggression, and providing unwavering support to Ukraine. Thus, we are maximally delaying the Russian threat," said the country's Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans.

On July 7, the Netherlands announced the dispatch of F-35 fighter jets to Poland. The kingdom's defense minister said that this was allegedly necessary to "deter Russia and protect the supply line to Ukraine."
