Car shipments to Russia from Japan decreased by almost 20%

In July of this year, the supply of passenger cars from Japan to Russia decreased by 19.2% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by TASS on August 20, citing data from the Japanese Ministry of Finance.

In addition, Japan has also reduced the supply of spare parts and components to Russia by 75%.

According to the analytical agency Autostat, used passenger cars are most often imported from Japan to Russia. In the middle of summer, this country accounted for 46.1% of all imported used cars, although a year ago this figure was 62.7%.

In total, 75.6 thousand new passenger cars were imported to Russia from abroad in July of this year. Of these, 47.3 thousand units are used.
