Russian military personnel thwarted an attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (DRG AFU) to break through by boats to the Crimea. This was announced on August 20 by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.
According to him, the Ukrainian DRG was spotted that night in the waters of the Black Sea adjacent to the Kherson region. The group was heading towards the Crimean Peninsula.
"One of the boats was hit by our servicemen. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation was disrupted," he told TASS.
