Russian military personnel have liberated the village of Novogeorgievka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Footage of the operation on August 20 was shown by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry noted that the servicemen of the 57th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Vostok group of forces, using artillery fire and calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), were able to oust the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the settlement.

It is specified that after the liberation of the village, engineering and sapper units began clearing the area of explosive objects.

Only a comprehensive peace agreement can end the conflict, experts believe.

The Russian armed forces liberated the settlements of Sukhetskoye, Pankovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the village of Novogeorgievka in the Dnipropetrovsk region earlier that day. It was noted that in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 220 militants during the day.
