Over the past day, 325 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 31 people were killed and 400 injured. This was reported to Izvestia on August 20 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

22 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which there were no dead people, 21 more road users, including two children, needed medical help. The cause of 16 incidents were traffic violations committed by drivers of other vehicles.

In the Komi Republic, on 3 km of the Usogorsk – Glotovo highway, the driver of a bus belonging to an inter-municipal cultural institution, which was transporting nine employees and students of this institution, collided with a truck moving ahead in the same direction, after which the bus overturned on the roadway. As a result of the accident, five bus passengers, including a 14-year-old girl, were injured and hospitalized, and three more bus passengers were sent for outpatient treatment after receiving medical attention.

As a result of 79 accidents involving pedestrians, six people were killed, and 74 more were injured in various degrees of severity. There are 20 children among the injured, six of them were injured at pedestrian crossings. Of the total number of pedestrian incidents, 29 occurred at pedestrian crossings and 50 outside their area of operation.

66 accidents involving minors were registered, in which 75 young road users were injured, including 33 passengers, 20 pedestrians and 21 minor drivers. There are no dead children as a result of the accident.

At the height of the motorcycle season, the State Traffic Inspectorate urged motor vehicle drivers to strictly observe traffic rules and safety requirements. The motorcycle must be registered with the State Traffic Inspectorate, the driver's license must have the appropriate category or subcategory open, and it is necessary to operate the motorcycle in a motorcycle helmet and motorcycle protection.

Before each departure, it is necessary to check the technical condition of the motorcycle, and when driving, choose a safe speed limit, observe the side interval and distance from other vehicles, and always take into account the requirements of markings, road signs, and traffic lights.

Motorists were advised to regularly look in the rear-view mirrors and be extremely focused when passing intersections in order to control the situation and be able to respond to maneuvers by motor vehicle drivers.

"We urge parents to prevent minors from using motor vehicles until they reach the appropriate age and obtain a driver's license of the required category. Be careful and remember that the life and health of children depend entirely on each of you. We remind you that all road users who find themselves in a difficult situation on the road can contact the staff of the State Traffic Inspectorate around the clock for help," said Police Colonel Anton Belan, Deputy head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

On August 18, the Russian Interior Ministry reported that currently traffic cameras are not used to automatically check CTP policies. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation did not specify exactly when the inspection of the avtogradanka from the cameras would be launched.
