A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Center group of troops liberated the settlements of Sukhetskoye and Pankovka in the DPR. Also, the Vostok group of troops liberated the settlement of Novogeorgievka, Dnipropetrovsk region, and defeated the manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, in the DPR.

"The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The formations of two mechanized assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the air defense brigade and the National Guard brigade were defeated in the areas of Doroshovka, Novosergeyevka, Olgovka and Senkovo settlements of the Kharkiv region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 245 servicemen," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of operational and tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated mooring facilities used to supply fuel in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a drone assembly shop, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher and 217 aircraft-type drones. In addition, two small-sized high-speed enemy boats were destroyed by the forces of the Black Sea Fleet in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 665 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 78,434 UAVs, 625 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,677 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,588 multiple rocket launchers, 28,737 field artillery and mortars, 40,014 pieces of special vehicles.
