Singer and Honored Artist of Russia Yaroslav Dronov, better known under the pseudonym SHAMAN, said that his main task is to adequately represent the Russian Federation at the International Music Competition "Intervision", and the place he takes does not matter. This was reported on August 20 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

"Music is not a competition, it's really such a congress of cultures and traditions of different countries, different republics <...> My task is to adequately represent Russia, let's say, to meet expectations," the singer said during a press conference in TASS dedicated to the competition.

The actor added that soon his team will start rehearsals with the director and will start preparing a number for the upcoming performance. He also noted that, despite the fact that he is familiar with the site from previous performances, global work is underway, including from a director's point of view. SHAMAN added that rehearsals for the performance can begin 10 days before the competition.
