In Kuban, the carriers of a car were detained for preparing a terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge

Accomplices of the Ukrainian special services, who transported a car with explosives on a truck to blow up the Crimean Bridge, were detained in the village of Staronizhestebliyevskaya in the Krasnodar Territory. This was reported by RIA Novosti on August 20.

The Federal Security Service (FSB) had previously clarified that the car was subsequently planned to be handed over to another driver, who was supposed to drive it to the Republic of Crimea via the Crimean Bridge and become an unwitting suicide bomber.

It is noted that the drivers were detained on the side of the highway. There is an elevator nearby, and a train station is a three—minute drive away.

The terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge was prevented by FSB officers on August 18. It was noted that the car packed with explosives had passed through a number of countries. The department's staff promptly disclosed the terrorists' plans, defused an explosive device in a Chevrolet Volt car and detained all those involved in its presence in Russia. A criminal case has been opened.
