- In the Village of Lugansk in the LPR, over 300 buildings were damaged as a result of the fire.
More than 300 buildings on the territory of garden plots in Stanytsia Luhanska were damaged as a result of a fire on an area of 500 hectares. This was reported on August 20 in the Telegram channel of the government of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR).
"In total, 306 buildings were destroyed or damaged as a result of the fires. <...> As of 7 a.m., the fire area is about 500 hectares, of which more than 430 hectares are woodlands," said Yuri Gotvin, first deputy head of the LPR government.
According to him, when calculating the buildings, all buildings located within the garden association were taken into account — country houses, cabins, sheds and small buildings for household purposes. There is no fire spreading now, Gotvin said.
On August 19, 11 people were injured in a wildfire in the Stanichno-Lugansk region of the LPR. It was clarified that 60 people were evacuated. 47 pieces of equipment were used to prevent the fire. An emergency regime has been introduced in the area.
