The head of the Votkinsky district of Udmurtia, Airat Gazimzyanov, was detained after illegally using a land plot in the Nechkinsky National Park, which is owned by the state. This was reported on August 20 in the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
A criminal case has been opened against the official under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority").
According to the investigation, the defendant, at the request of his friend, illegally ordered to provide Stroygrav LLC with a plot of land in a specially protected area for a period of five years.
"The person involved <...> illegally signed the resolution, <...> by depriving the owner of the rights of use and disposal for a specified period. Currently, the illegal decree has been canceled, the land plot has been returned to federal ownership," the department's Telegram channel says.
The arrest of the head of the district was carried out by employees of the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia. The issue of his detention is being resolved.
Prior to that, on August 7, Leonid Bograteon, a deputy of the Assembly of Deputies and former deputy head of the Yelizovsky urban settlement of the Kamchatka Territory, was sentenced to six years in a penal colony for corruption crimes. According to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SU TFR) for the region, the accused in the period from March to September 2024 issued illegal orders, on the basis of which he committed embezzlement of budget funds. The damage caused by Bograteon's actions amounted to more than 1 million rubles.
