The FSB of Russia suppressed the activities of Ukrainian saboteurs in the Bryansk region

Employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia in the Bryansk region stopped the activities of the Ukrainian sabotage and intelligence group (DRG), consisting of personnel from the Special Operations Service, supervised by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who planned to commit sabotage and terrorist attacks on transport infrastructure facilities in the Russian Federation. This was announced on August 20 by the department's Public Relations center.

It is noted that employees of Western intelligence services in Ukraine, as well as in Lithuania, Estonia and Norway participated in the training of the DRG. During the operation, three saboteurs were eliminated, and three more were detained. Six automatic assault rifles made in the United States with devices for silent shooting, 16 kg of plastic explosives made in the Czech Republic, a large number of grenades and NATO-made cartridges, as well as a radio station for communication with the leadership were seized from the site of the clash.

The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service for the Bryansk region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 281 ("Preparation for sabotage") The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The department is deciding on the detention of members of the DRG.

On August 18, the FSB of Russia announced the prevention of a new attack on the Crimean Bridge by the Ukrainian special services. They wanted to use a car packed with explosives. FSB officers promptly uncovered the terrorists' plans, defused an explosive device in a Chevrolet Volt car and detained all those involved in its presence in Russia. A criminal case has been opened.
