Ex-MP Hajiyev handed over private data to the West for $45 million
Former State Duma deputy Magomed Gadzhiev (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) handed over confidential information to the West for $45 million. This is evidenced on August 20 by the statement of claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, which appeared at the disposal of RIA Novosti.
It is clarified that outside the Russian Federation, the ex-MP expressed his willingness to cooperate with the special services of Western countries in exchange for foreign citizenship.
"For disclosing classified information, I received at least $45 million from US government agencies, which was revealed by the Department of State Efficiency of the US government," the text says.
At the same time, the lawsuit does not specify which information Gadzhiyev provided.
Earlier that day, it became known that the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit to seize real estate from Gadzhiev with a total value of more than 2 billion rubles. The same lawsuit was filed against three individuals. In addition, the text proposes to recognize the former deputy and three other defendants as an extremist association.
Hajiyev was entered into the register of foreign agents on May 26, 2023. Later, on February 15, 2024, he was put on the criminal wanted list. On December 23 of the same year, the Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala seized the former deputy's bank accounts and real estate.
