At a meeting with US President Donald Trump on August 18, a tense situation occurred when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about Ukraine's priorities for resolving the conflict with Russia. This was reported on August 19 by The Guardian newspaper.
"The situation became tense when Zelensky began to elaborate on Ukraine's priorities in ending the conflict," the publication said.
As the newspaper noted, Trump tried to interrupt Zelensky. According to the newspaper, the US president was not interested in Ukraine's position to resolve the conflict.
