On August 19, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto accused the United States of slander and threats to the Latin American country.

"Venezuela clearly sees the desperate situation of the US administration, which is resorting to threats and slander against our country," Pinto wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister stressed that Venezuela is accused of drug trafficking, but the United States thereby shows its weak position in this Latin American region.

Earlier, on July 28, it was reported that an American RC-135 aircraft violated Venezuelan aviation regulations. Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino condemned the violation of the country's aviation rules by an RC-135 aircraft from the United States during the participation of people in municipal elections. It is noted that a reconnaissance plane flew over the people, which allegedly requested permission to fly through the territory of Venezuela.
