Trump urged not to worry about the outbreak of World War III
US President Donald Trump said that the process of the planet's movement towards a new world war had been stopped. On August 19, the American leader announced this in an interview with radio host Mark Levin.
Trump added that during the reign of 44th President Joe Biden, the risk of global conflict only increased.
"I think it was heading towards World War III, but now it won't happen anymore. That's the good news. You don't have to worry about it anymore," he said.
Earlier in the day, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that the United States would discuss acceptable security guarantees for Ukraine with Russia. She added that the United States does not rule out air support as part of such guarantees.
On August 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Trump met at the White House. The closed-door talks lasted about 30 minutes. After that, the American and Ukrainian presidents talked with the leaders of the European Union (EU) countries.
