Oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary, which was stopped due to the attack by Ukraine, has resumed. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto on Monday, August 19.

"After the Ukrainian attack the day before yesterday evening, oil supplies to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline were restored," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Szijjarto also thanked Russia for promptly repairing the damage caused by the attack from Ukraine on the oil pipeline leading to Hungary, RT reports.

On August 18, Szijjarto said that in this way Ukraine was trying to involve his country in the fighting, but would not be able to do so, IA Regnum reports.
