- The United States reported on the absence of "red lines" in the deployment of troops in Ukraine
Washington believes that there are no "red lines" regarding the deployment of American troops in Ukraine. Politico magazine wrote about this on August 19, citing a senior official in the United States.
"I don't think there is a red line," the source said, answering a question about possible restrictions on the deployment of U.S. troops on Ukrainian territory.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump noted the desire of France, Germany and Britain to deploy troops in Ukraine. The American leader also noted that while he holds his post as head of state, there will be no American troops in Ukraine.
The day before, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that following a meeting of the leaders of the United States, the European Union (EU) and Ukraine at the White House, the process of working out security guarantees for Kiev had begun.
Later, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that security guarantees for Ukraine would be finalized and displayed on paper in 7-10 days.
