The Board of Directors approved compulsory insurance for citizens of new regions of Russia

The law on compulsory social insurance for citizens living in the territories of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions was approved on August 19 by the government commission on legislative activity, sources in the government told Izvestia. The document is available to the editorial staff.

"The draft law is aimed at updating federal legislation regarding social insurance for citizens of new subjects of the Russian Federation. The bill provides for the possibility for residents of the DPR and LPR to receive insurance payments for compulsory social insurance against industrial accidents and occupational diseases," said Anastasia Milyutina, Executive Director and Chief of Staff of the Association of Lawyers of Russia.

According to her, currently this Federal Law does not include insurance payments for citizens of the DPR and LPR. If the amount of payment established by Russian legislation is lower than that provided for by Ukrainian legislation, payments will continue in the same amount, subject to the availability of appropriate documents, until the grounds for their appointment cease or the period for which they were established expires.

On April 21, the Government Commission on Legislative Activity approved a draft law on the procedure for using forest lands for the construction, reconstruction and operation of hydraulic structures. It was reported that this document is aimed at preserving forests. The amendments will help to avoid unauthorized placement of hydraulic engineering facilities on the territory of forests.
