In Ukraine, border guards detained a clergyman who illegally tried to take a conscript to Slovakia. This was announced on August 19 by the Ukrainian State Border Service in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the car was driven by a 50-year-old clergyman of one of the Transcarpathian monasteries. According to the press service of the department, a 41-year-old resident of Sumy region was found during an inspection hidden in the back seat under a cassock. He was supposed to be transported for $10,000 to the border with Slovakia.

"The National Police arrived at the scene. The actions of the clergyman are regarded as signs of a criminal offense," the publication says.

Response measures will be taken against the conscript due to an attempt to illegally cross the state border.

Earlier, on August 15, it was reported that a Ukrainian court in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) helped men of military age illegally evade mobilization for money. Employees of the department issued fake divorce decisions to men for $ 3 thousand, then deprived their wives of parental rights. Thus, they were exempt from mobilization and could leave the country.
