- The State Duma proposed to exempt Russians with an income of less than 30 thousand rubles from personal income tax
LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky proposed to exempt from paying personal income tax (personal income tax) citizens whose monthly income is less than 30 thousand rubles. This was stated on August 19 in a letter from Slutsky addressed to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"I ask you to consider the possibility of providing expenses for exemption from personal income tax for citizens with incomes below 30 thousand rubles per month," Slutsky wrote in a letter available to TASS.
As noted in the appeal, support for the most vulnerable segments of the population is of particular importance in conditions of economic instability.
"Exemption from personal income tax for citizens with such incomes will significantly improve their financial situation and raise their standard of living," concluded the head of the Liberal Democratic Party.
Mishustin also said that by 2030, the minimum wage in Russia will rise to 35 thousand rubles. He noted that on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the government is consistently increasing wages, and these rates are outpacing inflation. So, since the beginning of the year, the minimum wage has increased by more than 16.5% and amounted to 22.4 thousand rubles.
