The IT Picnic family festival has ended in Moscow
On August 16, the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve hosted the main IT festival of the summer, the IT Picnic. The guests included more than 30,000 people: IT specialists, their friends and family members.
The festival has been held for the third year in a row, and has become the largest event for a wide pool of specialists. The festival is organized annually by T-Bank, CodeFest and the Melnitsa concert agency.
Developers, testers, IT engineers, analysts, project and product managers, team leaders, designers and other IT specialists gathered at the site. Throughout the day, the guests communicated with scientists and experts from leading IT companies, shared their experiences and took part in interactivity from partners. This year, they are Yandex, T-Technologies, Selectel, LANIT, Softline, X5 Tech, SIBUR Digital, 3 data, DOM.Russia, Severstal, Arenadata, KUPIKOD, Baltika and others.
The center of the educational program was the open-air lecture halls, which were divided into blocks: "Science by the hands of engineers", "Engineering platforms", "Analytics", "Products", "Effective Management" and "Scientific training". Speakers from Yandex, T-Bank, Avito, X5 Tech and other companies shared their experiences, talked about quantum computers, AI, unmanned vehicles, cybersecurity, the development of assistant products and simplification of tasks using technology. The lectures allowed the guests not only to learn about the future of the IT industry, but also to ask experts questions and discuss real cases with industry leaders.
The festival featured a wide range of interactive areas for guests of all ages. Guests could get acquainted with VR tours, robotics, IoT sensors, a neurofoto booth and AI assistants, as well as win a plush capybara or company merchandise.
The KUPICOD booth attracted special attention, where guests could take photos with a Tesla Cybertruck, compete in a CS2 tournament, play their favorite games — FIFA, Mortal Kombat, NHL — and relax on soft poufs while playing PUBG Mobile.
T-Education, Yandex Education and Sber presented their stands at the Educational Carousel. There, schoolchildren and students completed quests, "passed exams" from university teachers, received advice on resumes and career growth, and grades were exchanged for gifts and merch.
For the whole family, there were areas with board games, sketching, T-shirt painting, music and art workshops, as well as a fitness area with yoga and cycling.
Children could create their own cartoon, assemble a robot, and take part in master classes in chemistry, biology, geology, and astronomy.
There was also an area with musical workshops: playing drums, bass guitar, electric guitar under the guidance of teachers and professional musicians.
A musical program accompanied the guests throughout the day. Tosya Chaikina, Tima is looking for light, the Second Ka, and ZOLOTO performed on the main stage. A special event was the Diana Arbenina tribute concert, as well as the performance of the headliner of the concert, the Knyazz band. For the first time, the IT Picnic featured musical IT apartment groups, where groups from teams of developers, analysts, and engineers performed their own compositions.
