The patriotic festival "Heart to people" will be held in Moscow
As part of the "Summer in Moscow" project, the patriotic festival "Heart to People" will be held in the capital on August 22. The event is timed to coincide with the Day of the National Flag of the Russian Federation and is dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland, the organizers said.
Seven interactive zones have been prepared for visitors, and more than 20 events will be held at the festival, said Marina Prozorova, Deputy head of the Department of Territorial Executive Authorities of Moscow. "Among them are workshops on the manufacture of camouflage nets, trench candles and first aid, stories of participants and volunteers, intellectual quizzes, an exhibition and a concert," she said.
In the "Hero of my District" zone, in honor of the city project of the same name, volunteers and defenders of the Fatherland will share their personal stories. Among them is Nikita Pastukhok, a participant in a special military operation, who was awarded the Order of Courage, the medal "For Military Distinction" and the medal "Participant of the SVO".
A collection point for fighters and residents of new territories will also be organized at the festival. Personal hygiene products, medicines, clothes, shoes, batteries, chargers and children's goods will be accepted from the citizens.
The "Heart to People" festival was invented by activists of the Moscow Government's Personalized Scholarship program. The student project is being implemented by the metropolitan Department of Territorial Executive Authorities and its subordinate institutions.
