Tu-95MS missile carriers flew over the waters of the Sea of Japan

The Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers of the long-range aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) performed a planned flight over the neutral waters of the Sea of Japan. This was announced on Tuesday, August 19, by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The flight duration was more than six hours. Fighter escort was provided by the crews of Su-35s and Su-30sm aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

The Defense Ministry stressed that all flights are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

On the eve of the Tu-95MS long-range aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea. The flight lasted more than four hours. The crews of the Su-33 aircraft of the Navy provided fighter escort. At some stages of the route, the missile carriers were escorted by foreign fighters.
