A resident of Kuzbass is accused of murdering two women and attempting on the life of a third. This was announced on August 19 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to investigators, on August 18, the accused was at his neighbor's house in Kemerovo. There was a sudden conflict between them, and the man stabbed his sister in the chest with a kitchen knife. Then he wounded a neighbor and another woman who was in the house. The accused's sister died from her injuries at the scene before paramedics arrived.

In addition, despite the assistance provided, the man's neighbor died in the hospital due to a stab wound. The third victim, according to the Investigative Committee, is in serious condition, doctors continue to provide her with medical care.

"As a result of the joint work of the staff of the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the man was detained. The investigator has charged him," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

The Investigative Committee charged the man with committing crimes under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 (murder of two persons) and part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two or more persons).

It is specified that investigators and criminologists examined the crime scene and found the murder weapon — a kitchen knife. An eyewitness to the murder was also questioned.

On August 13, the Investigative Committee of Buryatia reported that in the region, a mother killed a baby for crying, puncturing it with syringes with a powerful drug. During the interrogations, the accused stated that she caused the death of the child allegedly due to postpartum depression and in a state of passion.
