The former father-in-law and mother-in-law of Russian singer Nikolai Baskov, Evgenia and Boris Shpigeli, have accumulated debts of more than 17.1 billion rubles, including debts on utility bills and taxes. The materials of the bailiffs testify to this on August 19.

"The total amount owed by Baskov's former father—in-law and mother-in-law exceeds 17.1 billion rubles," according to the materials available to RIA Novosti.

It is specified that more than 16.2 billion rubles of the total amount are related to the recovery of the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office. The remaining debts amount to almost 900 million rubles, which the Spiegels owe for utility bills and taxes.

It is noted that Evgenia Shpigel owes more than 1 million rubles in taxes and utility bills, as well as 202.6 million rubles in other penalties. She is also required to pay 149.7 million rubles in a criminal fine as an additional punishment. Her husband, Boris Shpigel, owed 370.5 thousand rubles in taxes and utility bills, 400 thousand rubles for procedural costs and another 449.7 million rubles in a criminal fine.

Earlier, on August 12, it was reported that the total amount of stolen funds in the criminal case of the ex-president of AFK Sistema holding Evgeny Novitsky exceeds 9 billion rubles. It was clarified that creditors' claims against him amount to almost 12 billion rubles.
