A victim in the criminal case of a terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow, who took a weapon from one of the attackers during the attack, was questioned in the Second Western District Military Court. This was reported on August 19 by RIA Novosti with reference to one of the participants in the process.
The case file contains the testimony of a man who resisted the terrorist.
"He (the victim — Ed.) noticed the fourth of the criminals when he walked along the left corridor between the descent from the dress circle and the seats. Then he (the perpetrator of the terrorist attack — Ed.) tilted the machine to reload the magazine. He (the victim — Ed.) decided to neutralize the terrorist. He pushed his wife away and motioned for her to run to the exit. With his left hand, he grabbed the terrorist's machine gun and pointed it at the floor, and with his right hand he began hitting him on the head," the documents say.
According to the materials, a man of a larger build came to the victim's aid, who, among other things, hit the terrorist several times on the back of the head. The perpetrator of the terrorist attack lost consciousness from the blows. After that, the men who resisted left the hall to find their relatives.
Earlier, on August 15, participants in the trial of the terrorist attack in Crocus reported that the verdict could be announced before the new year. It was clarified that three meetings are held on this case "almost without delay" every week. The trial of the defendants began on August 4, and it is taking place behind closed doors.
The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall was staged by terrorists on March 22, 2024. As a result of the tragedy, 149 people died, one was missing, and another 609 were injured.
