German Chancellor Friedrich Merz told reporters on August 18 after the White House talks that a video conference of the "coalition of willing" to support Ukraine would be held on August 19.

"A video conference of the coalition of the willing will be held tomorrow. These are a total of 32 states that are ready to provide additional assistance to Ukraine," Merz said.

He added that in addition, a special meeting of the European Council will be held, at which the participants of the meeting will report on the progress of the discussions.
