The United States has stopped financing Ukraine and supplying weapons for free to the needs of the Kiev regime. This was announced on August 18 by United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Fox News channel.

"We are no longer giving Ukraine weapons. We don't give Ukraine money anymore," he said in an interview.

Rubio added that instead, the United States is now selling weapons to Kiev. And European countries pay for supplies through the NATO bloc.

On the same day, the Financial Times (FT) newspaper reported that Ukraine had promised the United States to purchase $100 billion worth of weapons for security guarantees after the conflict was resolved.

On August 13, it became known that Germany intends to allocate $500 million for the supply of weapons to Kiev under a new mechanism called Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL — list of priority requirements of Ukraine). Support will be provided by European countries, Canada and the USA. At the same time, the provision of this assistance will be monitored and coordinated by NATO.
