US President Donald Trump informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the completion of negotiations with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, as well as with the leaders of the European Union (EU). This was announced on August 19 by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"The US President, in turn, informed about the negotiations that had just concluded at the White House with Vladimir Zelensky and the leaders of a number of European countries," Ushakov said.

In turn, Putin warmly thanked the American leader for his hospitality during the meeting in Alaska.

The meeting between Putin and Trump took place on August 15 in Anchorage, Alaska. During a joint press conference, the Russian leader noted the desire of his colleague from the United States for a settlement. Trump, in turn, shared that the negotiations went very well and called the summit in Alaska wonderful.

Later, on August 18, Zelensky and US President Donald Trump met at the White House. The closed-door talks lasted about 30 minutes. After that, the American and Ukrainian presidents talked with the leaders of the European Union countries.
