J.D. Vance did not engage in conversation with Trump and Zelensky
US Vice President Jay Dee Vance did not participate in a conversation with US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky during their meeting at the White House, CNBC announced on August 18.
"Vice President Jay D. Vance remained silent while Trump and Zelensky answered questions from the press, which was a marked difference from his aggressive stance the last time the three men were in the Oval Office," the statement said.
Earlier, on February 28, the White House also hosted a meeting between Trump and Zelensky, at which the presidents sparred. At the February talks, Trump accused Zelensky of disrespecting the United States, and Vance noted that Zelensky needed to show gratitude for the assistance provided by the United States.
