A new overpass will be built in Kommunarka, which will connect Bachurinskaya and Bartenevskaya streets. This was announced on Monday, August 18, by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
According to him, this will simplify travel to Yuzhnoye Butovo and reduce the load on the Kaluga Highway and roads of the Novomoskovsky district. The overpass will be four—lane, with two lanes in each direction, RIAMO said.
Sobyanin stressed that the project provides for modern lighting: lighting will be built into niches on the pillars, and masts with soft diffused light will be installed along the roadway, which will emphasize the architecture of the structure and will not interfere with drivers and pedestrians, writes Moscow 24.
According to the mayor, the overpass will become not only functional and safe, but will also harmoniously fit into the urban landscape, the Moscow City News agency reports.
