The head of Tatarstan announced his readiness to implement investment projects with China

Tatarstan is interested in implementing investment projects with Chinese partners. This was announced on August 18 by the head of the (RAIS) Tatarstan's Rustam Minnikhanov at a round table with the participation of Chinese companies within the framework of the Rostki forum.

"We are interested in developing cooperation in the fields of high technology, electronics, and energy. One of the main factors in ensuring the further development of our economy is the implementation of investment projects," said Minnikhanov, his words are quoted on the official website of RAISA.

He also stressed the growth of trade turnover between Tatarstan and China: by the end of 2024, it amounted to $3.3 billion. At the moment, according to him, the republic is interested in promoting the products of its enterprises to China, including trucks, helicopters, ships, gas pumping equipment, tires.

The round table was dedicated to interregional cooperation between Russia and China within the framework of the Rostki forum. In total, more than 200 Chinese companies are taking part in the two-day event.

Investment attractiveness: startups will be given additional benefits

They can be obtained by companies developing dual—use technologies such as UAVs, electronic warfare, communications and encryption.

Earlier in the day, Taliya Minullina, head of the Regional Investment Development Agency, said that there is potential for opening a representative office or assembly plant of Changan in the Republic. She pointed out that Tatarstan is attractive as a platform for possible localization of the automotive component base in terms of industrial and IT infrastructure.
