The meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, as well as European leaders, is crucial. This was stated on August 18 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga at a briefing during the presentation of the "Government Action Program".

The meeting between Trump and Zelensky will take place at 20:15 Moscow time on August 18 in Washington. As part of it, the leaders of the two states will discuss a peace treaty with Russia. After that, the US president will hold a meeting with the heads of European states.
On the same day, the American leader announced that Zelensky could immediately end the Ukrainian conflict if he renounced his claims to Crimea and his intention to gain membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.
