More than 5.2 thousand residents of the Lipetsk region suffered from tick bites
In the Lipetsk region, 5.23 thousand people suffered from tick bites. This is reported by GOROD48 with reference to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.
In 69.4% of cases, bites occurred on the territory of houses and household plots. In another 16.9% of cases, residents of Lipetsk turned to doctors after trips to nature. 1.3% of bites occurred in cemeteries.
The pest research was conducted on the basis of laboratories of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, the regional clinical hospital and the regional skin and venereological dispensary. It was found that 16% of the ticks had borreliosis, and another 3.9% had granulocytic anaplasmosis.
In Russia, the incidence of borreliosis is recorded more often than other tick-borne infections. Lyme disease was carried by 19% of the pests studied in the country's laboratories.
