Women found lost in the forests of the Khabarovsk Territory
Rescuers managed to find three women who had been wandering in the forests of the Ulchsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory since Saturday, August 16. Friends aged 56, 63 and 68 went to pick mushrooms from the village of Bulava and did not return home. They started looking for them on Sunday.
Police officers, volunteers and regional rescuers participated in the search. During the day of searching, they managed to examine about 15 square kilometers of forest, but to no avail.
On Monday morning, September 18, an Mi-8 helicopter of the Khabarovsk Aviation Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations took off from Khabarovsk to Ulchsky district. Pilots and rescuers found the lost women and evacuated them one by one using a helicopter winch.
The women did not need medical help, but they were visibly tired, writes IA AmurMedia.
Earlier, on August 18, it was reported that in the Irkutsk region, a woman fell asleep on a board and swam across the Angara River. Law enforcement agencies were searching for her.
