Rahmon welcomed the diplomatic steps to resolve the conflict in Ukraine

In a telephone conversation with Russian Leader Vladimir Putin, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon welcomed the steps towards a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on August 18 by the Kremlin's press service.

During the conversation, the Russian president shared with Rahmon his assessments of the outcome of the Russian-American summit in Alaska.
