On August 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Acting Governor of the Rostov Region Yuri Slyusar, instructed to improve and replicate the mechanisms for providing support to participants in the special operation (SVO) and their families, including the "one window" system.

During the meeting, Putin asked Slyusar how assistance was provided to the participants of the SVR and their families. According to the acting governor, in addition to federal measures, there are 75 regional and municipal support measures in the Rostov region: payments, medical, legal assistance, employment assistance, housing issues, and assistance to children.

"But what's important? It is necessary not only to expand, but also to simplify the procedure for obtaining them, because there are a lot of measures, and people often do not understand them," he added.

The Head of State confirmed Slyusar's words.

"They're getting lost," Putin replied.

Slyusar said that a pilot project has been launched in the Rostov region to provide all available support measures to its participants and their families in a "one-stop shop" mode and upon a single application to the IFC.

"Such mechanisms need to be improved and replicated," the president stressed.

On June 30, the country's Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, announced that Russia was fine-tuning the support system for participants in the special operation in Ukraine. The Prime Minister stressed that the government supports the initiative of the deputies to exempt veterans of their military service and their family members from paying state fees when applying to the courts.
